Neck, shoulder, and jaw tension

Rib and diaphragm discomfort

Hip, low back, SI joint, and sciatic pain

Round ligament discomfort

Abdominal recovery and core support

Scar tissue mobilization

Cesarean recovery

Ease swelling and promote circulation

Nervous system regulation

Rather than simply easing tension, these sessions help your body reorganize around the profound structural changes of pregnancy and postpartum, creating greater comfort, resilience, and capacity as you move through matrescence. As a doula, I also hold space for the profound shifts that your bodymind and your spirit are moving through during this time of transformation.

Sessions are done in your home so you can receive care in the comfort of your own space. This is especially supportive during the postpartum time when feeding, rest, and the rhythms of a new baby shape the day. Each session allows time for us to discuss your needs, tend to your body, and create space for whatever your body, and your baby, may need.

Lymphatic & Post- Surgical

Support your body's natural healing process with gentle, restorative care.

Healing doesn't end when surgery is over—in many ways, it is just beginning. While the procedure itself may address the primary concern, the body is then left to navigate a complex process of repair, inflammation resolution, and tissue remodeling. This is where intentional, skilled post-surgical care becomes essential.

Gentle lymphatic bodywork can play a powerful role in this phase of recovery. By supporting lymphatic flow, we help the body more efficiently reduce swelling, clear excess fluid, and move metabolic waste out of the tissues. This not only helps decrease discomfort and tightness, but can also create a more optimal environment for healing at the cellular level. Improved circulation supports oxygen and nutrient delivery to healing tissues, which is essential for recovery and regeneration.

As the body begins to lay down new tissue and scars form, this is a critical window where the quality of that healing can be influenced. Without appropriate support, scar tissue can become dense, restricted, and adhered to surrounding structures, potentially limiting mobility and contributing to long-term tension or discomfort. With focused, gentle work, we can encourage healthier tissue remodeling—helping scars remain more supple, mobile, and integrated within the surrounding fascia and muscle.

These sessions are intentionally offered as a series because post-surgical healing is not a single moment, but a process that unfolds over time. Consistent care allows us to adapt to each stage of recovery—supporting swelling in the early phase, mobility and scar integration as healing progresses, and long-term tissue resilience as the body fully reorganizes. This continuity of care often makes a profound difference in both comfort and long-term outcomes, helping you not only heal, but heal well.

Do you only work with women?

I work with all bodies through all stages of life! My specialization is in Women's Health but before that I worked for nearly a decade honing my skills in structural integration, myofascial release, movement mechanics, and subtle body energy, which applies to all bodies. I've worked on babies, helping to unwind tension to support better feeding and mobility. I have worked with neuro-spicy adolescents helping them to feel more in touch with their physical bodies. I have worked with aging bodies navigating surgeries, degeneration, and nerve pain. I have sat in the transitional phase of life and death as a doula with the newly born and with the bodies who are transitioning out. My work applies to all phases of the life cycle and the many diverse types of bodies who journey through them.

I'm worried my home may not be suitable for a massage.

When I first begin working with a client we always walk through the home together to determine the best place to set up. We consider your own comfort as well as the space available that I need to work. Sometimes it may require moving a few items, which I am happy to assist with. Once we figure it out for the first time, I generally get straight to setting up in our subsequent sessions.

If you have pets, fret not! I love the animals and they generally love me. Most pets get into the vibe of the session and use it as naptime once they get used to my presence (though I expect some excitement and a hello when I come in from the furry friends).

If you have babies, toddlers, or older children, I have done many massages with children in the room. I have baby worn during massages, I have massaged nursing mothers, and I have answered questions from inquisitive toddlers all while massaging. If for your own comfort, you would prefer more quiet, I would recommend arranging your session when you have childcare. If you can't find a time on my calendar that aligns with that need, reach out to me and we will figure it out together.

And please, for the love of God, don't apologize if your house is messy. I honestly don't care, as long as the space we are working in is clear for ease of movement and your own ability to relax. I'm the mother of a toddler, my house is always a mess, except when she's sleeping-- I get it.

Will the massage hurt?

Sometimes yes, some discomfort may be experienced depending on what issues we are addressing. Therapeutic bodywork is aimed at reorienting the body from the compensation patterns it has learned but it is also about developing a new relationship with the body where we are attentive to its signals. This means we work within your own body's capacity to manage that discomfort. If we continually push past the body's cues that we need a gentler touch, then we can create new holding patterns in the body. Each bodywork session is a collaboration-- while I listen to your body's cues, I also need your feedback to know how you are responding to treatment. Ideally you should be able to breathe and relax the muscles that we are working on when discomfort arises and we will work together to find that sweet spot. The soreness experienced both during the massage and afterwards will decrease with regular sessions. This is why I prioritize bundles and packages with my offerings. Bodywork is not a one and done form of care, it is best integrated into a regular routine. Most of my clients begin with sessions closer together to address dysfunction in the body, which the movement & bodywork packages are for, and then we move to a monthly or bi-monthly maintenance schedule.

Because sessions are done in your home, I do recommend planning an Epsom salt soak before or after sessions and drinking plenty of water or tea after your session. A warm meal like soup, pho, or ramen is also ideal after a session. Prioritizing rest the night of your massage session also supports the body in regeneration.

What's the difference between a bundle and a package?

A bundle is a discounted rate for purchasing a set of 4 or 6 sessions. This supports our initial work together so that you can commit to regular sessions weekly or bi-weekly for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks, which is the time I most often see is needed for new clients. If you are someone who has had surgery or chronic pain for many years, sometimes that timeline needs to be a bit longer for us to really begin to move the needle on longstanding pain and compensation patterns in the body. From there we are able to move into a schedule that supports the maintenance of the body.

My packages are more than just bodywork, we add in breathwork, mobility, strengthening, and somatic practices to really deepen the relationship with the body. This is not just weight training either, it is learning how your body has evolved to move and making that a ritual in your daily life. In our time together we dive into the stories that live behind the holding patterns in your body. We connect with the breath and why it is the most essential foundational aspect of health. These packages are building the foundation that allows you to move into more vigorous forms of training, movement, and weightlifting without injury and pain stopping you every time you begin to make progress.

What if I have to cancel or reschedule?

There is a 48-hour cancellation policy that you are agreeing to anytime you book a session, except in cases of emergency or illness, in which case we will reschedule our session for within 2 weeks of the cancellation. Cycles of Becoming has a NO REFUND policy, please be sure you want to purchase before doing so.
